ALICIA O’NEILL

Founder and Principal

Alicia is the Founder and Principal of Dare to Dream, which was established in late 2025. She is passionate about creating a welcoming, positive, and encouraging environment where children can grow in confidence, creativity, and skill, while enjoying their performing arts journey.

Alicia has extensive experience working with children of all ages and has dedicated almost a decade to education within the performing arts. Her experience includes three years as Vice Principal at Stage Academy, where she held responsibilities in leadership, safeguarding and staff/student development. This role allowed her to develop a clear understanding of how to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment in which children can thrive.

Alicia’s training is grounded in both professional practice and academic study. She trained in Musical Theatre at BOA and went on to graduate from Royal Holloway University of London with a BA (Hons) in English and Drama. Alicia has professional performance experience in the UK and overseas, including productions at the Edinburgh Fringe, Camden’s Etcetera Theatre, and the The Marriott Hotel in Cyprus.

She holds safeguarding, first aid, and EYFS qualifications and has worked in teaching and leadership roles throughout her career. Alicia places the highest importance on child safety, inclusion, and wellbeing, ensuring every student feels supported and valued.

Alicia is incredibly excited to be bringing her vision to life and to begin this new chapter. She cannot wait to watch the school grow, to support every student on their journey, and to see what the future holds for Dare to Dream.
